Manufacturer Powers Up Shelton Location

SHELTON - Lex Products Corp. of Stamford and Sun Valley, Calif. is moving a growing manufacturing operation to Shelton. According to the Connecticut Post, the company will have 165 workers at a 56,500-square-foot facility at 15 Progress Drive in Shelton by the end of 2010. Lex, which produces power distribution and control systems, expects to grow from 150 employees now, having already added 25 to meet a recent 33-percent increase in sales. The company will keep its Sun Valley assembly plant as well. The Post also reported that the Connecticut State Technology Extension Program, a non-profit consultancy supported in part by the state of Connecticut, helped the company design its new space.
