Next-Generation Turboprop
Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (UTC), is launching a demonstrator program for an advanced turboprop engine.
The engine design will be specific to reducing fuel burn and environmental emissions in a new fleet of turboprop aircraft. Testing to validate technologies for improved efficiency, lower emissions and aerodynamics will be conducted on a core demonstrator in 2011.
