The Goodrich unit employs 560 workers. The sale is expected to close later this year or in early 2013.

Goodrich’s Pump & Engine Control System unit and its 500-strong workforce was also sold, this time to Cleveland-based aircraft component manufacturer TransDigm Group, for $236 million.

This is the second Connecticut company TransDigm has purchased within a year. It acquired Branford-based aircraft component maker Harco Laboratories for $83.3 million in December 2011.

The Goodrich sales were both parts of the requirements mandated by UTC’s purchase of the company, and come within two months of UTC cutting 150 jobs, half of which were in the Hartford area.

UTC’s aerospace branch, based in North Carolina, also recently inked a pair of contracts to supply equipment to the Cessna Aircraft Co. for its newest jet model. The equipment ranges from interiors "site//#"> wheels and brake systems.
