EAST HARTFORD — The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CAT) announced that it is adding two new electric discharge machines to its East Hartford Advanced Manufacturing Center.
The machines are coming through an "/files//_onlineonline with Sodick Inc., an Illinois machining equipment manufacturer. Electric discharge machining burns through metals or " /#there">there conductive materials with electric sparks, unlike standard machining methods, which usually cut or grind a workpiece with metal tools.
