NEW HAVEN — An Elm City manufacturer specializing in water treatment will receive $600,000 in state assistance to expand its operations. The Connecticut Development Authority (CDA), in conjunction with People's United Bank, is providing H. Krevit & Company Inc. with financing to build a new 20,000-square foot warehouse and office building.
Founded in 1919, Krevit manufactures industrial chemicals, including treatments for swimming pools as well as chemicals for dry cleaning, fuel oil distribution and plating. Year to date, the CDA has approved more than $26 million in financing to businesses statewide, helping to create or “retain” some 2,500 jobs, according to the office of Gov. M. Jodi Rell.
