Date Halloran & Sage LLP, a law firm with offices in Hartford, Middletown, Westport and Washington, D.C., has named J. Randolph MacPherson partner in its Washington, D.C. office. MacPherson was a partner for two Washington, D.C. firms and served 16 years as an attorney in the United States Army and Department of Defense. He has served as the chief regulatory counsel, telecommunications for the Department of Defense, primary legal advisor to the assistant secretary of defense for command, control, communications and intelligence, and as legal counsel to the President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee. MacPherson is admitted to the State Bar of California, District of Columbia, District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court, District of Columbia. He earned his J.D. from the University of Santa Clara and his LL.M. from George Washington University.
