Eckbreth Dean Rensselaer Polytechnic Insitute/Rensselaer at Hartford Entry Date 10/9/2002 Entry Date Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute President Shirley Ann Jackson has named Alan C. Eckbreth vice president and dean of Rensselaer at Hartford, the Institute's Hartford-based graduate center. Eckbreth most recently directed the UTC Fuel Cells Program at United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) in East Hartford. He served as a manager and engineer with United Technologies Corporation for 34 years. Eckbreth holds a bachelor's degree in engineering physics from Lehigh University and a master's degree and doctorate in aerospace and mechanical sciences from Princeton University. He also has a master's degree in administrative sciences from Rensselaer at Hartford.
