He has taught at Yale Law school since 1985 and served as assistant secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor. Koh has received more than 20 awards for his human rights work and was named by American Lawyer magazine in 1997 as one of AmericaÕs 45 leading public sector lawyers under the age of 45. He is a graduate of Harvard College, Oxford and Harvard Law School.
