Date The Educational Trust Fund of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants has selected Charlene B. Labate as the recipient of its 2003 Candidate's Award. She is currently enrolled in the MBA program at the University of New Haven. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and has received the Danny Washington Scholarship for academic achievement and community leadership. The award provides $2,500 to assist college graduates in meeting educational requirements to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination.
