Date Robert W. Makuch, professor of public health in the biostatistics division in the department of epidemiology and public health at Yale University, has been elected a fellow of the American Statistical Association. He was cited for his contributions to the methodological design and analysis of clinical trials and his administration of an academic biostatistics division. Makuch also trains students in clinical trials, both nationally and internationally.
