E-mail Print PDF

NEW HAVEN — Helix Therapeutics, LLC, a seed-stage bioscience company, has received $500,000 in venture capital from Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CII), the state’s quasi-public technology-investment arm.

Employing proprietary technology licensed from Yale University, Helix uses triplex-forming oligonucleotide (TFO) technology to find gene therapies that could treat or cure diseases including sickle cell anemia, Hurler syndrome, HIV and Gaucher’s Disease.

The follow-on investment is the sixth CII has made in the New Haven company since July 2009.
