The CCAT earned a three-year contract to assess the research efforts and implement demonstrations projects to mitigate CO2 emissions. CCAT will perform assessments of existing and developing technologies and will select from those technologies ones that will implement as a pilot on feasible projects at the DOD facilities.

"The need to explore alternative energy sources is not just for the commercial sector; the government must also move forward in this arena,"said CCAT President and CEO Elliot Ginsberg. "This new effort will provide valuable information for concrete applications enabling the federal government to remain at the forefront of alternative energy solutions.
