eHealth CT Gets $5.7M Records Grant

ROCKY HILL - Some $5.7 million in federal stimulus funding is headed to eHealth Connecticut, a nonprofit contracted by the state to create a health information exchange. The funds will be used to establish an electronic medical records center.

The grant, part of a $2 billion federal investment to expand the use of health information technology and create an electronic health record for every American by the year 2014, came from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
