Coda, the California based electric car and battery company that bailed on a plan to build its batteries in Enfield in partnership with Yardney Battery of Pawcatuck, is now seeking a new deal in Ohio.
CODA failed to get 'stimulus funding" for the Enfield plant and dropped the plan. CODA is now planning a "big plant" in Ohio, but the according to DRIVEON.com the effort is contingent "upon finalizing an incentive package with the state of Ohio and the approval of an application for a Department of Energy Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan to be submitted soon."
The state deal is expected to come easy, but CODA still has to pry out the federal money. This time however CODA is in a "swing state".
