SEYMOUR-Dr. Energy Saver, a new franchise that provides home energy savings and solutions for homeowners and businesses, held its first national training seminar last month. The company brought in 20 people from around the country to participate in a week-long training boot camp at their 40,000 sq. foot facility in Seymour. After a week of classroom and software training, field work in the facility's various labs, and performing mock energy audits in the facility's two-bedroom replica house, participants took the knowledge they gained in Connecticut and returned home to help grow the green workforce in the U.S.
